The THM Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen University of Applied Sciences (formerly FH Giessen-Friedberg University of Applied Sciences) is renowned for future oriented degree programmes in Engeneering and Business Administration. “Innovation based on tradition” is our motto. The university was founded in 1971. However its roots reach back into the 19th and early 20th century, when schools for engineering were established in both campus cities Giessen and Friedberg.
Today the classical disciplines like Civil Engineering, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering are offered alongside progressive programmes like Energy Systems, Biotechnology, Media Engineering, Business Administration and Computer Science.
The cities of Giessen and Friedberg (link to Google maps) are situated in the Rhine-Main-Region close to the economic centre and international airport Frankfurt. The two university-locations combine the amenities of small and middle sized cities with lots of green spaces in the cities and a wonderful landscape just outside your door-step.
e.media 2018 will be held in Friedberg, a town of 28.000 inhabitants, where about 5.500 of our students are educated. The international city of Frankfurt can be reached in less than 30 minutes by public transportation. Friedberg is very popular with tourists, as you can discover a beautiful historic old town with the largest area of medieval castle-remains in Germany.
